Volgaburmash JSC

The Volgaburmash JSC history began with the development of the petroleum industry in the Ural-Volga, Samara and Perm Regions, in Tataria and Bashkortostan.

Extradordinary growth in oil-well drilling quantities meant drill bits were required and tool joint production needed to be increased. The Oil Industry Ministry of the Eastern Regions issued an order to build the Kuibyshevskiy machine-building plant in May, 1948.
